BELIEVERS AND WORKERS SEMINAR:

TOPIC: Genuine and False Spiritual Children
TEXT: Psalm 144:7-15
Somebody might be wondering why this topic? It’s because it deals with the reason why Christians are not seeing their expected desires manifesting.
This topic shows us why we pray so much with little or no answer at all; why we hear great messages without good results, why people stay in church for years without impressive progress, why we read about all the great and amazing promises of GOD in the bible, but we see little or none of it coming to pass in our lives.
And Gideon said unto him, o my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befalling us? And where be all his miracles which our father told us of… ”Judges 6:13
There are certain things that can hinder the manifestation of GOD’s Blessing in our lives if not properly checked. Apostle Paul said, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves, know ye not your own selves… ” 2 Cor. 13:15
The issue of knowing the kind of a child of GOD you are is very imperative. Are you a true and faithful, sincere and loyal child of God? Are you a type that will go any extreme to please GOD? Or a type that will choose for himself how to serve GOD? Which scripture to obey and which one to ignore?
In every ministry, we have two categories of members.  The first one is the true, the genuine and the sincere members; and the second one are the fake, the false and the crafty members.
They are in every church, even JESUS spoke about it: Math. 13:24-30. But there is something most people who wish to belong to the second group have not noticed about the second category – the consequences and the judgment. Math. 13:38-43
The true and sincere members will end up rejoicing and shinning, while the fake and crafty members will end up crying and burning in hellfire. Math. 13:41-43. The choice belongs to an individual. Choose how to serve GOD by yourself; but remember that, how you serve GOD determines how GOD will relate with or respond to you. 1 Sam. 2:30 You have to decide, are you going to be a genuine spiritual child, or a false spiritual child? The decision is yours. But remember, every decision has consequences; so decide wisely. Deut. 30:15-20.
Now, satan does not manifest himself physically to do any evil or cause confusion in the church, he uses human beings Luke 22:3-4 just as GOD uses human beings too. Amos 3:7. The tragedy is that, most of these people are in the house of GOD; they claim to be children of GOD, but in works and in practice, they deny GOD. Titus 1:16, they are referred to as False spiritual children.

The Characteristics of False Spiritual Children:
Ø They speak vanity Ps 144:1-8. Vanity means empty, useless, baseless or unimportant. False spiritual children give too much support with their mouth, they promise their spiritual parents (the pastors) allegiance, but does not keep to their promises; they talk too much and do very little. Ezek. 33:30-32, Ps. 78:36-37, Isa. 29:13-14. How committed are you to your promises, pledges and vows to GOD and to your pastor?
Ø Their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. Ps. 144:8. The right hand in this context does not refer to the physical right hand
Ø Of the body; it speaks o the right hand of fellowship. Gal. 2:9. The right hand of fellowship is a promise made by a person to share fellowship with another person. It is a declaration of membership and partnership. Ruth 1:16-18. False right hand of fellowship is a membership without commitment; joining a department without seriousness, carrying a little and not able to defend kit and making a promise and not keeping to it. The bible says, “We should not associate with rebels – people who have the attitude of changing allegiance” Prov. 24:21. Today they are here and tomorrow, they are there. Today, they are supporting Ministry A and tomorrow they are supporting Ministry B.
The bible called them “clouds without water, trees without fruits, twice dead, plucked up by the roots and wandering stars” Jude 1:12-13. One of the things the spirit of GOD warned us against is going to and fro, moving here and there. Eph. 4:14. A star without a standing is a dangerous star; people should avoid such a star.
Ø Another characteristic of false spiritual children is faithlessness. Deut. 3:20. Members who don’t believe in their pastor are the worst enemies of the ministry. Either they know it or not, they will disobey their pastor unconsciously, rebel against his/her leadership unintentionally and oppose his/her orders unawares. When your pastor speaks, how do you receive it? How do you respond to his command or instructions? Your attitude towards your pastor’s word determines how successful or unsuccessful you will be in life. To see good result, you must have faith in your pastor’s words.   1 Thes. 2:13.
